The Principal’s Corner
Greetings Lemasters Elementary Families,
Happy February! We hope this newsletter finds you all well. As we move
into the month of love and kindness, we have some exciting updates to
share with you.
Valentine's Day Celebrations
Our student leadership is happy to host the “Valentine Sneaker Ball” on
February 15, from 6:30-8:30. Students are encouraged to bring in
valentines for their classmates and we will have a fun day of spreading
kindness throughout the school.
Black History Month
February is also Black History Month, and we will be recognizing and
celebrating the achievements and contributions of African Americans
throughout history. Our teachers have planned various activities and
lessons to educate students about the important individuals and events
in black history. The school wide “Black History” Program will be held on
February 22, from 5:00-6:30 pm. We are planning to have “R&B Trivia
Night on February 20, 2024 from 5:00- 6:30 pm.
Congratulations to Kaiden Singleton (3rd Grade), for taking 1st place in
the RGSD District Wide Spelling Bee. Chloe’ Mershon (5th Grade),
took second place. Roman Williams (5th Grade) took 4th place.
Ms. Katz worked diligently to prepare our scholars.
Congratulations to Ms. Dino (4th Grade) for being voted Lemasters
Elementary “Teacher of the Year.”

RGSD is home to 13 schools, which serve approximately 5,700 students. Committed to providing excellent programs prior to kindergarten, RGSD is also home to the Michelle Obama Early Childhood Academic Center, which is accredited and licensed in the state of Missouri. Each year, RGSD students matriculate to excellent colleges, universities and trade schools with the skills to compete in an ever-changing world. Students from the class of 2018 were awarded more than $3 million in scholarships. RGSD students are also prepared to immediately enter the workforce.
